Grace Photoblog is a free theme with a number of key features that make it stand out from the rest of the photography/portfolio themes on the market. It is stylish, minimalistic, and completely free.
There is a muted color scheme and big frame that puts your photos right at the center of your blog, making colors appear even more vibrant and beautifully complements those that are in black and white.
When installing the theme, there are a few settings that you have to change and configure to get everything working properly, although it isn’t that difficult. Some additional features include a lightweight jQuery-powered rotating banner of featured photos (you can select which appear on the main page in this carousel), a widget-ready left-hand column giving you the freedom to modify the text that appears on the homepage, as well as a mini-gallery of your six most recently added photos.
Onto individual pages, some of the features include a 900 pixel wide main content area to really show off your photos, a wide frame to make your photos stand out, threaded comments support, and an optional description text area controlled by Custom Fields.
